On mobile so sorry for formatting.
I have a 2016 jeep patriot and about 2.5 weeks ago, my abs light, low traction light, and a flashing 4wd! light came on. I took it to my mechanic and he diagnosed it as needing new sensors and bearings on my back tires and said I can still drive safely and pass inspection. My brother said this was something he could do, so i left the mechanics.
3 days later, I was coming to a stop on a 25mph road and my brakes locked up and I skidded into the intersection. I haven't had brake problems since then, but the lights are all still on 90% of the time. Now I'm having a problem the last two days where when I try to accelerate to 30-60pmh, my car slips and the traction light comes on. It feels like I am flooring it while on ice. My car is jolting and usually within 5 to 10 seconds of gentle pressure on the gas, it catches up and drives normally until I have to stop again.
My question is, will replacing the sensors and bearings fix this? Does it sound like another issue? Any input is appreciated.
