I'll be damned if music doesn't have the power to move you. Where do you end up when you listen to jazz?
It depends on the artists; but for me it's like brushing aside cobwebs in a cold room to find outlets...and cords. When I plug those cords in I see the lights come on, and when I step back they say "I am human too. I feel what you feel." So in a sense, jazz brings my sense of self to a place of ubiquity, and therefore brings me more peace than anything else - aside from nature.
It's one of the few things humans have done right. IMHO
