I love jazz. A trio played at 8pm to 11:30pm anyone could walk in from the streets and breathe in the heavy cigar smoke filled room pick up an instrument and play. A damn kid not any older than 16/17 brought his trumpet and started playing some miles davis: so what, I could tell he was enjoying as his eye brows raised up with the same expression as his squeaking horn. A seventy year old man got up onto the piano and played his heart out. Drummer couldn't contain himself near the end, solos here and there he was going at it. The bass player dancing around with his double bass. What I love about jazz is the love the musicians have for what they do and the solos... I feel no other genre of music does solos quite like jazz; but the reason I enjoy jazz as a musician my self is its like playing drums, its not so formal and precise. It's all about the music, groove, the feeling, the vibe you feel from all those around you. Thanks to anyone who read this wall of text.
