Manu Dibango, is absolutely incredible. His music is diverse, creative, and extraordinarily innovative (even to this day). He is unlike anything else out there. Ascribing a genre to him is almost an insult, but I would say jazz is the closest.

As an artist, I would rank him alongside the likes of Miles Davis or Jimi Hendrix. Truly a musician of mind-blowing talent. In spite of that, I've never met anyone in person that has heard of him, which is rather sad.

He deserves far more praise and far more recognition.
