I'm planning Kamakura for some temples then Enoshima for sunset and dinner. Original plan was to take the train straight from Shinjuku to Kamakura, see some temples, then the Enoden to Enoshima.
The freepass came to my attention and I'd definitely be saving by getting the pass but it's about a 50 min difference to get to Kamakura (according to Jorudan). I'm leaning towards the pass right now because of the savings and the extra flexibility of being able to get on and off to explore more. Curious how others' itineraries to this area have been. Is the 50 min difference accurate?
I'm choosing to start in Kamakura because temples for me are usually an earlier in the day type of activity.
Also I planned for it on the 14th but just realized it's a holiday, how are crowds in these areas during holidays?
