Hello! I'm traveling to Tokyo next week for 7 days, and I'm staying in the Asakusa area. I'm 27M from India and have been traveling extensively this year across Vietnam, Thailand, Nepal and Sri Lanka.
I'm trying not to over-plan my days in Tokyo but I have some things I'd like to do in Tokyo:
- I like cooking and I love eggs. I've seen videos of Omurice and I want to learn how to make a good one. Where can I learn?
- I'm an active person (Someone on Strava told me about a run on 24th Dec and I'm excited to participate!) and I would like access to a gym. Could you recommend a well equipped gym or gym chain where a tourist can easily get access without buying long term passes or subscriptions? Perhaps pay per day / session.
- I'm trying something new where I buy basic toiletries & skincare from a Japanese supermarket itself. Will serve as cool souvenirs I think. Which supermarket in Asakusa and which brand of products would you recommend?
- I grew up watching this anime called 'Capeta'. I absolutely love Go-Karting and I would like to try it when I'm in Tokyo. When I searched for Go-Karting in Tokyo, I only found the city tours in Karts. I'm not looking for that. I'm looking for proper go-karting on a circuit. Please give recommendations? (PS. Would I need an International Driver's Permit for that as well?)
Let me know fellow Redditors, you've always been helpful! Thank you.
