In the spirit of protest, r/JaneAustenFF is running our own writing exchange! The prompt (h/t u/RoseIsBadWolf):
"An Open Letter to Jane Austen"
A side character makes a complaint to the Authoress, Jane Austen.
Rules:
- Maintain the letter format
- Any length goes! Feel free to post on AO3 or elsewhere and link to it from the submission post that will go up Thursday, June 15th. That post will stay open through Sunday, June 18th.
I've created a Google doc with these details for you to reference during the black out. You can save a copy to your own google drive if you'd like to do your writing there.
If you're planning to participate in u/Pupulainen's non-canon ship event, this could be a good opportunity to do some brainstorming, character development, etc.
And if you don't consider yourself a writer, this is a good opportunity to dip your toe in!
