So Fanny Dashwood dies...

We are told in S&S that John could have been better if he married better (I kind of think he married exactly the wife he resembled but anyway).
Fanny Dashwood has died of apoplexy after inheriting only 1/3 of her mother's fortune. The horror of fairness!!!
John Dashwood is looking for a wife out of the single Austen women, does his wife fix him, make him worse, or he goes so far as to make her worse....
