Moore will always be my number one.
Connery comes close behind, and gets a huge nod for being such an iconic portrayal.
Just barely losing to Connery in my opinion is Daniel Craig. He shows the most emotional range and raw acting chops in his films. I’ve always thought he was superb in the role.
Timothy Dalton sweeps number four for me. His movies are two that I come back to often, and I really like his Fleming-loyal portrayal.
Pierce Brosnan has the charisma, but there’s always been something about him that I can’t quite put to words that has made me not connect with him all that well. I also don’t have nostalgia for his era, so that plays a part in this lower placement.
The more I watch On Her Majesty’s Secret Service, the more I enjoy Lazenby’s performance. That being said, only one film to go by doesn’t do enough to move him any higher.
