I have this strange idea that’s been sitting in my head for a while now. And I don’t expect everyone to like it— it’s a little odd— but… what if a tradition started in which with every new and original Bond film, a novelization of the film was released as well? This book would be released a few months prior to the film and would not only be the story of the film but might also include unused scenes and concepts as well, whether cut or changed to keep the studio happy. The novel would of course be used as hype for the new movie, but we’d essentially have a director’s cut in the form of a book, a book that could easily go on the shelf with all the others.
What are your thoughts on that?
