Pranam 🙏🏽
Day after tomorrow, that is, 14th April 2022, is the 2621st Janma Kalyanak of our most benevolent Mahavir Swami Bhagwan. I'm certain all of us will celebrate Bhagwan's birth in various manners.
– True, heartfelt celebration of a Tirthankar's life is possible only when we understand the mesmerising personality of a Tirthankar. Indra Maharaja, while venerating Bhagwan with "Shakrastava" aptly describes Bhagwan as "पुरिसुत्तमाणं" – "the best of people". There are 10 qualities that Tirthankars' souls have from infinite times, which distinguish them from other living beings. What are these 10 qualities?
– Jainism discourages the celebration of birthdays, not only of ordinary humans, but also of Ganadhars, Kevalis, Acharyas etc. The same dharma actively encourages the celebration of a Tirthankar's Janma Kalyanak. What is the rationale behind this?
– Mahavir Swami Bhagwan, even in his ultimate birth, suffered a lot more than other Tirthankar Parmatmas. We see a high degree of turbulence in his 27 births, something that wasn't as prevalent in the lives of other Bhagwans. Why did Bhagwan have to endure such suffering? What lessons can we take from Veer Prabhu's life?
– And most importantly, how can we do aaradhna of Bhagwan's Janma Kalyanak in a manner that leaves a lasting impression in our lives?
We intend to discuss this and much more in a Swadhyay session specially scheduled on Wednesday, the 13th of April, at 9 pm on Google Meet Please Contact Mods for the Link
We'd highly encourage you to take some time out to come attend the Swadhyay and ponder the answer to these questions, and infuse your spirit with enthusiasm to celebrate this sacred day! ☀️
