Jainism is a nuanced and quite a purist religion, the more strict you are when following rules, better off you will be. I’ve always felt it’s wrong to use black money in the temple when auctions for everything are done because technically that money is unethical. Secondly, we know how much manipulation Adani has been doing in the stock market, how he has raised money etc. he had taken a dhaja for a few crores in his native place. This money is again, unethical and has the potential to create a disaster because of the sheer size of the bubble he has created. Why are maharaj sahebs and other religious leaders who are usually purists okay with this and turn a blind eye to all this? Isn’t this then following a religion as per your convenience and not as per the principles it propagates? Defeating the whole idea of Karyu, Karavyu, Anumodyu.
