I am shopping for an F-Type. Probably 2017 or 2018. I would love to get a convertible for driving locally in the summer months. Years ago I had an E-Type. The convertible would harken back to those days (without rust and electrical problems).
A big difference now is I need to be on the phone and have a 2-hour heavy traffic commute some days.
With the combination of engine, road noise, and traffic, will it be too noisy for others to hear me? When I had a Porsche (coupe) people definitely could not hear me with the hands-free mode and even with a headset they had trouble hearing me. Should I just get the F-Type coupe and be comfortable?
Also, how is the convertible in a Northeast winter? Cold drafts?
Convertible for those sunny days in summer…or coupe to be practical and comfortable?
Thanks for sharing your experiences.
