Post Body

Had someone pull out in front of me with out looking or indicating. I hit the anchors but didnā€™t make it in time. His tow ball really did a number on my hood

I have; and as a man Iā€™m not ashamed to admit it

I was driving down a street with cars parallel parked. A tray back Ute pulled out with out indicating a short distance in front of me. I slammed on the breaks as soon as he pulled out. Then I rear ended him and his tow ball hit the centre grill and the back corner of the tray punched the hole.

He then ran off (like literally turned by back and he was gone) and only walked back once the police were on scene

Iā€™m well insured so if itā€™s a write off Iā€™ve already got my eye on an XE

Yes weā€™ll the other clowns are currently driving around with no issue because of the tray back Ute. Still canā€™t believe he initially fled the scene

Good to know. I would hate to lose it

Theyā€™ll probably find one thatā€™s been smashed in the rear end and take parts

With the 20ā€ rims and low profile tyres I run itā€™s inevitable with the state of the roads around here. You donā€™t go 100m with out hitting a pothole or a repair where they have connected a new house to the sewer main or something that runs under the road.

I swear the backwoods of Sydney have better roads than the lower north shore of Sydney. We have the most expensive houses but the worst roads

You donā€™t want these rims

Iā€™ve been hunting for a set to replace mine with due to warping because of the amazing state of Sydneyā€™s roads

Iā€™ll repair for sure; itā€™s only if the insurance company insists that Iā€™ll let them write it off; and even then Iā€™ll be taking my tools to it to get souvenirs before it goes any where

The set free was about the fact thereā€™s a hole in the bonnet!

I own the car outright and get free rego due to being a veteran so it only costs me insurance and maintenance. Why not keep one of the last XFs to be made in the UK going?

For me being stuck on an island growing up with the choice of Holden or Ford being rammed down my throat I found my taste through watching Top Gear. When I purchased the XF it was as much an emotional purchase (itā€™s a Jaaaaag) with a logical purchase (itā€™s only a 2.0L turbo) however the wonders of British engineering do have me at the mechanics every 6 months getting something fixed. I live just up the road from a Jaguar specialist mechanic so itā€™s well maintained; itā€™s only flaw is itā€™s British Engineering

Hey gotta research those tatas. The more we feel the more cancer detection we do!

For me itā€™s about the history; Iā€™m constantly gushing about the wonders of British engineering every time I get to catch up with my mechanic. I just replaced the drivers headlight unit so Iā€™m hoping that is not damaged or Iā€™m going to be low key pissed

The spirit of the big cat has been let free!

They are super vicious; I hadnā€™t applied the Vegemite to the back of my neck that morning

Yeah this is my concern; I refused to move it till the tow truck arrived as I didnā€™t know if anything had shifted during the impact. I hope for the best but prepare for the worst
