Had someone pull out in front of me with out looking or indicating. I hit the anchors but didnāt make it in time. His tow ball really did a number on my hood
I was driving down a street with cars parallel parked. A tray back Ute pulled out with out indicating a short distance in front of me. I slammed on the breaks as soon as he pulled out. Then I rear ended him and his tow ball hit the centre grill and the back corner of the tray punched the hole.
He then ran off (like literally turned by back and he was gone) and only walked back once the police were on scene
Iām well insured so if itās a write off Iāve already got my eye on an XE
Yes weāll the other clowns are currently driving around with no issue because of the tray back Ute. Still canāt believe he initially fled the scene
Good to know. I would hate to lose it
Theyāll probably find one thatās been smashed in the rear end and take parts
With the 20ā rims and low profile tyres I run itās inevitable with the state of the roads around here. You donāt go 100m with out hitting a pothole or a repair where they have connected a new house to the sewer main or something that runs under the road.
I swear the backwoods of Sydney have better roads than the lower north shore of Sydney. We have the most expensive houses but the worst roads
You donāt want these rims
Iāve been hunting for a set to replace mine with due to warping because of the amazing state of Sydneyās roads
Iāll repair for sure; itās only if the insurance company insists that Iāll let them write it off; and even then Iāll be taking my tools to it to get souvenirs before it goes any where
The set free was about the fact thereās a hole in the bonnet!
I own the car outright and get free rego due to being a veteran so it only costs me insurance and maintenance. Why not keep one of the last XFs to be made in the UK going?
For me being stuck on an island growing up with the choice of Holden or Ford being rammed down my throat I found my taste through watching Top Gear. When I purchased the XF it was as much an emotional purchase (itās a Jaaaaag) with a logical purchase (itās only a 2.0L turbo) however the wonders of British engineering do have me at the mechanics every 6 months getting something fixed. I live just up the road from a Jaguar specialist mechanic so itās well maintained; itās only flaw is itās British Engineering
Hey gotta research those tatas. The more we feel the more cancer detection we do!
For me itās about the history; Iām constantly gushing about the wonders of British engineering every time I get to catch up with my mechanic. I just replaced the drivers headlight unit so Iām hoping that is not damaged or Iām going to be low key pissed
The spirit of the big cat has been let free!
They are super vicious; I hadnāt applied the Vegemite to the back of my neck that morning
Yeah this is my concern; I refused to move it till the tow truck arrived as I didnāt know if anything had shifted during the impact. I hope for the best but prepare for the worst
