I realize that there was a very similar post on here 10 days ago but would love to hear your opinions and personal stories about the decision to go with a large vs medium Reverso.
For reference, I have around 7.5” wrists and am very close to pulling the trigger on a 270.8.54 Duo on a stainless steel bracelet, which I understand is 26.5 mm x 42mm (equivalent to the current Reverso Classic Medium).
This watch has the two things I’m looking for in a Reverso: 1) factory SS bracelet and 2) “something” on the second side (happy with either a second dial or a display case-back - just don’t want it blank). While I’d be willing to go slightly up in price, the fact that I can get it for under $6k is a big plus.
The only thing giving me pause is whether I I’ll be happy with the medium size or should look for a large. I have no problem with smaller watches and frequently wear a 36mm as a daily. This may sound weird but if the large Reverso didn’t exist, I wouldn’t hesitate at all to go with the medium… especially given its (modern) status as a dress watch. But given that the large does exist and given that it seems to fit my wrists fairly well, I’m not 1000% convinced with the medium.
What are your thoughts? Have you had to make a similar decision? Additionally, I’ve only tried on the Reversos on leather. Do you think the SS bracelet would make a difference one way or another? If you think I am better opting for a large, are there any particular models/reference models that I should be checking out?
Thanks!
Medium all day
