Hello, I am new here. I stumbled upon Jacqueline about a few years ago on Instagram. Its been very painful to see she gained so much weight again after successful weight loss and skin removal and lives now in denial. I hope she comes to her senses and heal again physically or she may die anytime soon... I have a question about her fiance and other 'regular size' men in relationships with morbidly obese women. I know there are feeders there so those are men with a fetish who love when their women get bigger and bigger and it is some kind of psychological abuse in such relationships fromn mens side very often. But he does not seem to me like one. Why? I read that he stayed and supported Jacqueline when she lost weight. If he was a feeder then I guess he would have left and found another big woman right? Feeders aint happy when their women are on weight loss journey. How could he know at that point she would not keep the weight? She seemed motivated back then.
So i am guessing it was just a 'normal' love story. However now she is in a much much worse state than she was before. Practically immobile and jobless and chronically ill. So the thing I wonder about is how is it that he didnt stop her or give her some kind of ultimatum? I know it is the same question with partners of other addicts. But somehow this food addiction is different than other addictions...
Now i need to tell you i do not understand it culturally and this is why you need to help me. I live in Europe (Poland) and we have much lower obesity rates than America. Of course many people here also struggle with weight due to the same reasons like in other Western countries. But basically in my country we almost never see morbidly obese people in public. We do not have anything that would enable such people to move around such as electric shopping carts at a supermarket or scooters at amusement parks etc. The other thing is that for a man here being with a morbidly obese woman would be a total shame. His friends and family would push her to lose weight and if she didnt they would push him to leave her. There are men here of course that have a fetish for bigger gals but it is only for sex. These men would have sex with fat girls but no relationship. Sure bigger girls can find sex like on apps but they wont find love. Yes we have obese couples here mostly older or middle aged but 90 per cent of those stories is they met when they were in shape and gained weight after years together. An obese woman has practically zero chance here to get married and be in a relationship. There is less pressure on men for that but many fat guys are also single. Obesity is just simply not an accepted feature when young people look for a partner and your social circle will eat you alive if one tried that. I am not talking a few more pounds here and there but clinical obesity and more.
So back to Kevin how is he able to function in a relationship like this? I am sure he loves her and maybe pities her as a person but how does a life with someone like her look in practice for a man? There is no sex i guess. I am sorry if i am too straightforward but how can he be physically attracted to her? Do such men cheat? He has spent so many years with her and sure not everyone wants to be a parent but there is no way she would ever get pregnant and carry to term. How do people react seeing such a couple in public when he helps her get out of the car or pushes her wheelchair? Maybe they assume its her brother? Actually i think what i wrote about the attitude in my country towards a man being with a very fat woman was the same in America like 40 or 50 years ago when majority of population there was in shape. But i guess it has changed. However it seems to me it still raises people eyebrows when they see on TV or some fat influencers that so many of these women have regular size partners. Like how is this possible?
