Are there any “solved” murders prior to 1888?
Post Body

Some believe that the killing of Mary Ann Nichols showed evidence of being done by an experienced hand and that the murderer had killed before.

Martha Tabram is often named as an uncanonical victim.

But, are there any other killings in Whitechapel in the years prior that may have been the Ripper that are not unsolved? In other words, where the police may have got the wrong man?

The killing/s may be some years prior. Serial killers can wait a long time between their first and second victims and as he's “learning his trade” the similarities to the other cases may not be hugely apparent.
