Hey all,

About a month ago, in reaction to my JN spam calling my SO while he was at work I emailed her and very succinctly and civilly told her to stop with the attempted contact and mail, in no uncertain terms told her it is harassment, etc. In return my MIL has finally stopped calling _me _to leave hyped up voicemails, YAY! But she has upped the calls to my SO. There have been a few more times where she is spam calling him, but he just turns off the phone or rejects the calls. There was a huge increase in her calls in the last few days, and her sister joined in and left a VM for my SO...

Y'all.... I just can't... The sister, who is a slightly more dramatized version of my MIL (if MIL wears a red lip, sis gets a brighter red and a face full of contour, if MIL wears a black lace skirt with a black matte top to a wedding she doesn't approve of sis also wears all black, but also WAILS and *chokes back fake sobs* at said wedding, ). She calls SO and leaves a VM... strangely similar to MIL, but this lady is saying that we are mad at her? That we are treating her badly after everything she's done for us? I have no freaking idea what she's on about.

The one favor we asked for from her was us asking if we could sleep at her (at the time) huge home and keep our indoor cats in her garage for a night as we were moving across country. First she reacted like she was insulted we felt we had to ask, then while mid move, the night we are to spend there, we're pulling into her town, she calls, and tells us we need to find alternative arrangements for the pets? It was 8:30 at night, we were exhausted, the kids (1yo and 6yo at the time) were exhausted, it was our 4th day on the road, and now we were supposed to scramble to find a cat-hotel last minute. Instead of engaging we just said "thanks anyways" and got a hotel for the night instead. We were tight on money, saving that couple hundred would've been the smart and responsible thing, but the pet boarding options for last minute, new to them, after hours drop off at a pet boarding place would have been even more expensive.

We have never argued with her, but she's a flake, the type to offer to babysit your infant for you to have a date night, but then show up an hour late with a bottle of wine for herself and declaring that she doesn't do diapers. We just don't ask her for anything, or rely on her for anything. We knew that she would be a very energetic FM for MIL, but idk what she is talking about. Apparently the reason for the flurry of phone calls over the last week is because MIL and sis's auntie is deathbed ill.

This lady, the one who is approaching the rainbow bridge, is the grandma of the bride who had called me a cow, but the few times I've met her she was very kind, and my SO knew her a bit in his childhood, but MIL and sis are using her imminent passing like a prop sword in a school play, swinging it around, smacking others with it and then getting upset when it breaks apart without cutting anyone down.

Like, what do they even want him to do with this info? He can't visit because of covid, he doesn't really know this lady as an adult outside of two very short "hi! how are ya?!" type interactions.

Y'all, I'm just so proud of SO for not rising to their bait, we are bummed about the news though, she seems very kind, I hope she has/had a peaceful, love filled passing.
