Weird, controlling behavior from boyfriend's mom

Post Body

(She isn't technically my MIL as she is my boyfriend's mother, but felt this was the best place to post this.) When we first started dating, she was friendly to me, but she has done things to me over time. For example, excluding me from family events, which is fine, but then she'll often invite me to family events and then UNinvite me, which I'm not really fine with. She seems to be selfish because I once mentioned I don't want kids and she "joked": "Oh, well you can't be with [boyfriend's name] then!" She accused me of lying once for no reason (I wasn't lying btw) which my boyfriend excused because she was drunk, but I don't think that's an excuse. She also acts very strangely with her own husband. One time she made me and my boyfriend come collect her husband's jacket because they were out to eat and she said, "It's not even cold out and you're making me look old; you can't wear a jacket." That just struck me as very odd. I'm posting here because I could definitely see her becoming a JNMIL in the future if we were to go down that path, especially since she sort of foreshadowed her controlling nature by saying I have to have kids. Why does she do things like that? Do you think it's something to do with her such as being controlling / jealous / narcissistic? Or is it because she doesn't like me? Honestly interested in anyone's thoughts on this and advice on how to react to her.

Edit: Thank you so much for the gold!!:)
