MIL watches my 11 month old once or twice a week. This morning she texted me saying “Please bundle the baby well, make sure to put shoes on him and bring his blankets”. I dress baby warm enough when it’s cold outside but she gets annoyed if he doesn’t have shoes and a blanket covering him when he’s coming out of the car which only takes a few seconds until he’s inside.

I understand that she cares for him but I just don’t appreciate the way she speaks to me and the things she says. I am my baby’s mom and I don’t understand why MIL talks to me as if she is the one in charge of my child.

The other day I took him to the park for the first time and I was excited to tell her all about it because baby loved it so much. But she made me feel bad for it saying that’s where kids get sick the most and that he was too young to go on the swing.

I just don’t know what to do about this woman anymore
