So I have a JNAunt that’s acts somewhat entitled and tries to stir the pot a lot of the time when she’s in town. Now for a bit of back story I lost my job back last year due to medical issues beyond my control, and have been trying to find another since. Due to me being out because of medical issues not a lot of places look kindly to that and are weary about hiring me. So I talked to my JYAunt who lives a couple states away about going back to school to pursue a degree in wildlife management/forestry. So my JNAunt heard about this and proceeds to tell me about how I’m wasting a degree, because it’s “a waste of time” and “they only start at min. wage”. Which isn’t true, I’ve had a chance to talk to people in the field and they love the job. I don’t care what it starts out at, as long as I enjoy the job. She started also saying that her Son In Law tried to go into that field and stated it was horrible and didn’t pay enough. Then, she proceeded to try to get me to move out to where they live and get a job at a factory near them. She went on and on about oh well you can move out to where we live, go to the factory’s school and work on the robots. She then pushed that fact they start out at $80,000 dollars a year over and over again. She never mentioned once that I could stay with them until I finished their school, or anything. So that means if I do it, I’d have to either live in my car or drive 3 hours to there for said classes and back to my home. Which the classes for that program lasts for about 6 months to a year, and I have to take it there. I’ve obviously decided against that, to her dismay because I’m supposedly wasting my time with this other degree that I obviously am going to enjoy the field I’ll be working in. She even tried to stir the pot when my JYAunt was in town, arguing with her that I’m just wasting my time with that degree and I’ll not make enough money to do whatever. I’ve even got a couple of things for later about things with her about my grandmothers funeral. So with that I guess rant over.
