About 3 weeks ago I made this post. tldr is that my (17) creepy, older step-brother(23) started university in my city and made a habit of 'bumping' into me and my friends. Told him to stop, so he stopped 'bumping' into me and just kept following me in secret instead.
I was basically looking for validation as to going to the police over him.
This isn't the update people will want, but it's a good one anyway. A few days after the post I went to the police. They weren't really interested. In the way of evidence I didn't have much, other than texts I'd sent friends, or they I, and although someone said to start taking pictures of him if I saw him, I actually hadn't seen him so had no pictures (and certainly wouldn't have been enough to convince anyone he was stalking me). They said the best they could do was take note of it and to call the non-emergency line if I see him again, or the emergency line if I think it's absolutely necessary.
It was quite disheartening tbh. I didn't expect them to go out and arrest him straight away, but I kind of hoped they'd at least have a word with him and put the fear in him.
But as I said, I've not actually seen him in a while. I was mostly spending my time studying for my GCSEs and then I've been on holiday over the summer and my social group has mostly been gathering for houseparties rather than going out into town. My result celebrations were the first night out I'd had in a while, so was worried I'd see him and it'd ruin my good feelings, but the night was amazing and the only downside was the hangover the next day.
The good news though, is that I doubt I'll be seeing him again! Not only did he fail most of his exams and coursework, he failed his resits over the summer and has had to quit university! He's moving back in with my Dad and his mummy dearest and boy is she livid. She is absolutely raging about it and it's hilarious. It's obviously not his fault, so she's blaming everyone and everything possible. She's left me, my Sister and my Mum several screaming voicemails, blaming me and my Sis for distracting him or leading him astray and simultaneously for not making him welcome enough. She's blamed my Dad for whatever reason and she's been asked by the university to stop contacting them as they're not to blame. The posts on Facebook she's been making have provided us with a lot of entertainment!
Luckily as I mentioned in the last post, they live like 250 miles away on the other side of England from me and as he's moved back in with my Dad and the evil witch, so I won't be seeing him again. My sister and I are also going to sit down with our Mum and just tell her that, as a result of all of this, we're just gonna drop that side of the family completely and after the nasty stuff my step mum has said to my Mum I doubt she'll care that much. If my Dad wants to come here to see us, I'll accept, but otherwise I'm done.
So yeah I think that about sums it up! Not the outcome I was expecting, but a good one nonetheless. I want to say thanks for all the responses and help in the last post, even if I didn't get to make much use of them. It's also Friday, so I think I'm gonna go out and celebrate!
I mentioned in the original about this. I'm not friends with him on anything and I keep everything as private as possible and only add/accept follows from people I know. I'm not friends with my dad or step mum either (her FB isn't private, so we get to stalk her and see her insane rantings that way).
It's a mystery. He never gave a reason for leaving my Mum either, which to me seems like such a stupid decision. She's literally the best person in the world. She's caring, hard working, devoted and will bend over backwards for you. She's a fucking bombshell too. She's 38 and despite being a single Mum for 17 years, she doesn't look a day over 25. She has an amazing body, is super fit, has the biggest most genuine smile and manages to have a great sense of style and fashion too (she's like 10x cooler and more fashionable than me and I steal her clothes all the time).
And outside of her terrible personality, my step mum is nothing to write home about either. She's closer to his age, about 50, but looks older. She's overweight, and is one of those unfortunate women who manages to be fat and still not have any boobs and has no sense of style at all. The only thing I can think of is that he's not attracted to short, slim, hourglass figured women with amazing curves and is attracted to tall dumpy, figureless women instead. He's a very good looking man himself, so its even more a mystery there.
