We all know that 3 spent shells were found at the “Sniper’s Nest” 6th floor window and attributed to Oswald and the Mannlicher-Carcano.

My question is has anyone ever read about or heard of any additional ammunition for the rifle being found still in the rifle, at the scene, or at Oswald’s? I haven’t. So it begs the questions, did he only bring 3 bullets? How would he know he wouldn’t need more or less? If no additional bullets were found in the gun, wouldn’t it imply it was only loaded with 3?

I can’t think of a case where an active shooter was apprehended and didn’t have additional ammo on them or stashed somewhere close by.

Also, if you knew you were going to assassinate the President and flee/attempt a getaway not to get caught, why wouldn’t you bring your other gun with you as well as the rifle? Why take the trouble to have to go back to your boarding house and get it? You’d think he would have a better getaway plan…
