Good morning, current ES JETs. Just a quick psa, the latest CLAIR email has a link to the teacher's guides for the new textbooks, translated into English.
I also recommend reading over Mark Fennelly's introduction (separate PDF) as well. It goes over the changes coming in April 2020 (turns out we're getting -another- new wave of official MEXT textbooks to coincide with English becoming a real subject.)
It even has some good jokes to boot:
It should be noted that the Course of Study clearly states that the lessons plans and lesson content should be designed by the homeroom teacher or the teacher responsible for foreign language education, not by the ALT.
Have a nice weekend!
(PS: post your best installation tricks for the digital materials, I managed to corrupt my install of all 4 of them somehow and get to re-install them this weekend.)
