Basically my dad is posted abroad, and I had the choice after 10th (currently in 11th) to move there and appear for DASA ( Direct Admission to Students Abroad ) after 12th to get direct admission in NIT or lower (IIT not included). There was an Allen centre (Muscat, Oman) near and I would prob take a 2 year integrated course there.
The other option would be to stay in India and appear normally for IIT-JEE. It was a really tough decision to take. In the end I decided to stay here and give up the easy option. Now on the bright side I can stay stably over here and get a chance for IIT. I wanted to get what I actually deserve by working hard (Oh, and I was worried there would be problems with dasa admission).
Did I make the wrong choice?
