I'm looking to theory-check the first part here, and compare speculation on the second part, so here goes...
Part 1. Monstrous Remnants
Most of the remnats we've seen are monstrous, or like monstrous caricatures of the sacred artist they came from.
Have you ever seen one of those models of circulatory systems where they inject some sort of resin into a cadaver or carcass' veins and arteries, and then remove the tissues so that all that remains is the resin display of the circulatory system?
I think that remnants are like that, except it the madra channels, core, and binding. Plus some sort of weird reflection of the sacred artist to give it a body shape.
Except, the aura they harvested wasn't natural to their own condition, so their remnant comes out... deformed.
It's sort of like a fun house mirror version of a sacred artist's "true self."
(This may even be exacerbated by sacred artists absorbing remnants while advancing to Gold.)
However, that seems to be mostly humans.
e.g. Ekeri's remnant is just described as a dragon's serpent form.
Ekeri probably never adopted a new aura/madra type into her body or path.
We've probably never seen a non-monstrous human remnant because we've never seen the remnant of a pure madra sacred artist.
And this brings me to...
Part 2. Eithan
Eithan is the only human sacred artist beyond the Foundational stage (that we know of) still on a pure path.
What are the odds that, when Eithan manifests his remnant, it will be extremely... Eithan-like?
Will it effect his battle to absorb it?
