/u/Will_Wight You've been so earnest with us that I've become invested in the story of the writing. So I hope you don't mind and can spare a moment to satisfy my curiosity.
During the writing of WS you spoke about changing some parts of your writing method, particularly being a little less vicious with the cuts.
Part of this book's success could simply be attributed to hitting a critical mass in readership, and you might be tempted to hide behind this as a kind of modesty screen.
However, many of your already die hard fans are declaring this your best yet and the reviews seem to indicate that this book is particularly good as well.
So, all modesty aside, how much of the fan ravings you are reading from us would you conceivably attribute to your changes in method?
Partially related, has this been as affirming an experience for you as I hope it has?
You seemed to feel you were taking risks by altering your process, do you feel they paid off?
Anything in particular?
Is there anything you feel didn't live up to your hopes?
Do you think that this has added to your toolbox or method going forward?
Are you now inspired to try anything else new?
You know what? If you answered even half these questions, this would be great content for your blog.
So my feelings won't be hurt at all if you don't reply, just as long as you share some of this with us eventually, I'm begging you.
I'm fairly certain that I'm not alone at being keenly interested in this.
BTW, thanks for providing such a great multiverse to escape to!
