Traveling from airport in Genoa to Portofino

Hi all,
Looking for several options to get from the Airport when I land in Genoa to get to Portofino. Some sites say take the shuttle bus (Volabus) to Genoa Brignole station. Once I arrive at Santa Margherita Ligure. I'm a bit lost. Is it pretty accessible once you arrive or do I need to take a bus to Portofino? Sorry if I'm sounding a bit ignorant. Just nervous as I'm traveling alone.
Also what would the cost be for a taxi if I were to consider this as an option?
