Incredibly hot take here. But if isreal wanted to wipe out all of Gaza and everything, they would have done it already. The reason isreal has civilians dying is because they aren’t fighting an army, they are fighting an ideology and a force with unknown numbers. Hamas is using civilians and hiding in areas where they can use civilian to protect themselves. Isreal is at a point where they don’t care and they want to wipe Hamas out. The new age of warfare isint as much as a force to be seen but one heard. Terrorist can hide in plain clothing, not combat armor. It’s no longer black and white who’s a civilian. There’s no more black and white on who to kill and who’s a terrorist. It’s only black and white when the one pulls out a gun. Warfare now is at a point where you need to decide either to maybe be wrong and save yourself or be wrong and die from being shot in the back. It’s not clean or anything but it’s how it’s gonna be done now. Enemies who have no respect for risking civilian life are incredibly hard to beat and doing it cleanly is not possible. We know isreal has nuclear weapons and if they truly wanted a genocide they would drop them. Why spend a lot more money using soldiers when you can drop nukes and wait a week then take the eland and round up the rest of the Palestinians and execute them. Israel’s goal is to wipe out Hamas and take all of Gaza and Palestine. If they take it then the only true worry for their Saftey is outside neighbors. There’s no chance for a clean war anymore and there never was. All throughout history we see civilians suffer from war. More civilians died in ww2 than soldiers. Does it suck that civilians are dying? Yes it does. However we have to accept that it’s a part of war and it will always happen.
EDIT: I just finished my APUSH AP exam I was thinking about this last night instead of studying but whatever I did good
