I am trying to understand better, solid point of views, perhaps likely to be Zionist aligned, but also to understand the truth in how things broke down. in understanding how settlement constructions in the west bank froze in the early 2010s. in that in Bibi's government, there used to be settlement construction freezes, which have totally collapsed?

can anyone point me to good reading or share good information? Why did Abbas walk away from settlement freeze discussions? did he even walk away, or was Bibi being conniving?

because of course, the only israeli talking point I struggle to defend, is that israel continues to build settlements in the west bank, have expanded from 100,000 to 500,000 "settlers", and that being a fundamental obstacle to peace.
