Iran is the main financial backer and supporter of Hamas and Hezbollah. There are even many indications that Iran controls these groups, especially Hezbollah. Iran has been Israel's biggest state enemy by far for many years. Iran is also a very strong supporter of the Palestinian anti-Israel ideology.
Most supporters of Palestine here are liberal and progressive people. Iran on the otherhand is a totalitarian, authoritarian, theocratic and oppressive state. They basically have no concept of human rights in their own country.
Iran's rhetoric on the conflict is very similar to the one used by the international left, talking about how Israel is hurting the rights of Palestinians. These arguments are made by Iran despite clearly having a terrible human rights record in it's country and abroad.
In my opinion Iran will always bend the truth in many different ways to justify it's attacks on Israel. I'm shocked that people, who I thought had a similar worldview to mine, are picking up talking points that were introduced by this radical islamist country.
Many Iranian dissidents who know how their state changes the truth to justify cruelty are supportive of Israel because they just don't buy anything Iran says.
So what do you guys think of Iran and it's support for Palestine? How do you reconcile being on the same page with this evil entity? (These questions are directed mainly at Palestine supporters)

The usual suspects (the USA, Israel, UK, etc.) worked to systematically undermine the Popular Front for the Liberation, a secular and leftist organisation. As with all historical processes this didn't happen in a vacuum but without the intervention we'd be much closer to peace.
