So France’s parliament apparently voted on a proposition by the communist party to declare Israel as an apartheid state in order to push for a 2 states solution.
The decision was overruled with 199 voting against and 71 voting for declaring Israel apartheid.
Is there any real chance European countries would pass such a vote? I think I was pleasantly surprised to see that they had such a majority against the vote, with the amount of Muslims living there I would have assumed they outcome would be a bit worse in terms of people supporting the vote…
Are there countries that already declared Israel as an apartheid?
Just to be clear, I reject the notion Israel is an apartheid state.
