But I think that if we are too zealous in deleting posts (the post about the german attack was just deleted, as was an earlier post about Turkish mobilization to attack Syria), if we delete all posts like this, but are willing to retain trivial (even if funny) memes, we risk the sub becoming less relevant - both to those wanting to know what is doing in the region that affects all of us (post about Turkey invading Syria, which is direcly on our border), and also those that want to know if Jews are attacked (attack in Germany - as pointed out in comments, likely many if not most of the potential targets were Israelis), because that affects us as well.

I can understand deleting less important posts, less relevant posts, because they don't say 'Israel' directly in the title. But deleting posts that are important and relevant, just because they don't directly say 'Israel' in the title - but they will affect us directly, I don't think will be good for the sub in the long run - it will render the sub trivial.

Again - speaking here of posts that are important and that affect us as Israelis.

Again, please take this comment in a constructive way, and of course, the last word is always the mods. (Especially if the mod is Mannie ;-D - update: or Green Ape! Update: Or Pita! Or Noob, or Jelly or Red or Silver or Wanna or Barni - whew!)

Very touched by all the upvotes to this post. Thank you.

Note: Despite the heated discussions, this point was not about politics at all, and the posts that were used as examples were not about politics. The issue of whether this sub tilts in one direction or another (which has been said by all sides) is a separate issue and isn't the point being made here. The point being made here is just maybe we could have a bit of a broader vision of what affects and is relevant to us, and a bit of a lighter thumb on the 'delete' button - and perhaps less use of 'isolation threads'. But this is just one person's opinion. Thanks for reading and as always, final decision is mods', of course.
