Driving vs Not. Which is more practical?
Post Body

So for clarification, my question covers more than just Isla. I am starting from the airport, traveling to Playa for a wedding, then traveling to Isla for two days and back to the airport. I can rent a car for all 5 nights for $30. Free parking at the resort and I've heard there is a garage near Puerto Juarez (not interested in taking the car on the island). This sounds more practical to me than paying for and relying on transfers. However, my friend I will be traveling with seems skeptical and feels that the transfer option will be easier. Thoughts? TYIA!

ETA: After 100% of the comments (in both subs I posted in) advised me to stick with public trans versus rental, that shall be the route I'll go with. Thanks guys
