Is it legal for my apartment management to force tenants to use a third party company to pay our rent?

Post Body

The 3rd party company is Bilt and the apartment makes money from forcing us to use it. Bilt also locks us out of making payments if we are late past about 15 days. This allows the apartment to prevent people from saving themselves from eviction. It will give them a message that they must talk to management and block them from paying online. Then management basically dodges them until the eviction day. That's a whole other issue, but I want to know if it's even legal to force tenants to use a 3rd party service like Bilt to pay their rent? edit This is in Austin, Texas by the way
