Greetings,
I started managing this facility recently. The site was constructed in 2002 so the irritation was likely installed on or after 2002. I don't know if it works; never seen it work. I tried turning the part that has wires going to it until it unscrewed completely. The sticker on it shows that unscrewing is equivalent to "manual". Well, the hole it came out of had a little water coming out of it continuously. I could not seem to get the system to output any water no matter what I did. Should it be possible to activate the water flow without a 9 volt battery in the control unit? I tried rotating the control in the middle of the square black valve unit as well; didn't seem to change anything. I would like to do that to get a rough idea of where things are and the level of functionality.
The muck in the battery compartment is only from my poking around in there. It seems to have stayed dry before I got in there today.
Southern Mendocino county California 15-18 miles inland.
