Problem with gate valve

This gate valve is for my inground sprinkler system. It is letting water through even when it’s fully closed. It doesn’t feel stuck or stiff and it seems to close fine, but it still is letting water through.

Is there a way to rebuild this? Or how should I go about replacing it with a ball valve?
