Dusk fell over Storm’s End and the newly-arrived royal fleet, two weeks into their siege. There was little of note different atop the walls, but within them there was no small degree of activity. At sundown Ser Jaime Mertyns arrived in the kitchens with Princess Casella Baratheon, the King’s sister.

Ser Robin arrived with the brothers Peasbury, Sers Allard and Ronnel. There was precious little room on the boat, but Ser Robin felt that the keen eyes of Ser Allard and the deft hand of Ser Ronnel would serve well in protecting the women. The King had sent his own man, Ser Jaime, to guard his sister as well. Soon they would be joined by Barristan Dondarrion, the young Heir to Blackhaven.

“We’ll stay out to sea,” Ser Robin explained to Ser Jaime and the others. “Keep the land to our right and keep rowing until we reach the south shore of Shipbreaker Bay.”

The assembled knights nodded their heads.

“By my estimation we will make landfall in three days,” Ser Robin said. He looked at the passage down. “Go on, then. I’ll be right behind you.”

Ser Allard and Ser Ronnel passed him by on their way through the door, casting a last fond glance over their shoulder at Ser Pearse Wensington, who had come to see them off.

“Don’t go being a hero now,” Ser Pearse said to his old friend. He embraced Ser Robin as he approached.

“It will be like Highgarden, except stronger walls-- and you’ll be atop them,” Ser Robin replied, stepping back. “Do us proud. For the Horns.”

“For the Parchments,” Ser Pearse responded, clapping his friend on the shoulder. “Do the King’s bidding. I’ll be here when you get back.”

“I won’t come alone,” Ser Robin said.

The two men waited for the last passengers out of Storm’s End, the boy lord and whomever he brought with him.
