Just as she was about to finish the final letter, Saera scrapped it.

Dearest Brother,

I miss you very much. Winter is long, cold and lonely, though Septa Gwendolen always says to be patient and enjoy it while it lasts.

Everyone here misses you a lot: papa, Gwendolen but, most of all, mama. She's been very sad since you left. Maybe you should send her a raven and tell her you miss her too.

Mama and Papa have given me the most beautiful present in the world: my first horsie! I've called her Archonei, like the Dragon. She's white, but she has a small brown spot near the tip of her nose. She's so funny, you should see her. I love her so much already: the Stable master takes me out every other day, and maybe, when it's spring and I'm a little better at riding, we'll have long rides all along the Rosby Road. Maybe mama will join us too. I think she'll be happy when spring comes.

Papa told me he's sure you're enjoying Highgarden, but I wanted to know from you. Yesterday I took a book from the library. It said that Highgarden is a beautiful place full of flowers and trees and greenery. I suppose it's a bit different in the Winter, though, no? What a swindle.

I have nothing else to say because there's nothing else to do. Though I love Archonei, I even grow tired of her, sometimes: I wish you were here, big brother. Uncle Lucky is going back to the reach to take our cousins to the Vale, and he's asked me if I'd like to come as well. I would, of course, but I don't know what papa would say.
