Month 1, 340 AC
Ellion had a great deal of lingering discomfort over the events at Godsgrace. He stood on the balcony of his lodgings in Sunspear, hoping to draw some calm from the sea's rhythmic lapping. It did him little good, as he felt more adrift than grounded.
He was not as skillful a diplomat as his father had been, or so it seemed. Though it is doubtful Arianne would have done something as reckless, he thought to himself. He knew the only way to set the boy straight was to confront him. Too many people had invested their lives in trying to prevent a man like his father from becoming prince. If this impetuous youth went around like this, it would not be long before the whispers would begin. And of course his first snub had to be the queen of whispers.
He had sent an invitation to Isaac Manwoody to meet with him. Perhaps they could find some way to teach the young prince something without finding themselves the target of his ire.
