Lord Farring was strolling along the gardens in the Red Keep, his hands joined behind his back, wearing a purple and white doublet and long, elegant trousers. For some time now, he had started to enjoy loneliness more and more. You're getting old, Gilbert he thought with a bitter grin. Yet he had to engage in amiable and courtly conversation that day, like it or not, in the hopes of finding a new young bride... what a preposterous prospect. He stopped and sat on a stone bench surrounded by beautiful springflowers, savouring their sweet scent, waiting for fellow gallivanters in the gardens to pass by.
