Lord Jonos Bracken was in his solar reading his latest message. He had been invited by Lord Whent to visit Harrenhal. Jonos was dressed in his finery and ordered a servant to wake his sons Ser Jasper and Ser Addam. The boys were awoke and told to dress in their the finest chainmail. He spoke to his sons "Boys. Get 50 guards, mounted and packed for a trip to Harrenhal. We're off to see the Whents."

Jonos then made his way through the packed courtyard as people shouted around for weapons and food to find his Master-at-Arms. Ser Balon was a keg of a man with a bushy fiery beard and carried a heavy sword with him where ever he went. Lord Jonos spoke to him "Ser Balon, I need you to sure up the defences in my land. Give every sept and village a scout and a fast horse. If you have any other ideas you have my leave to do so.' Ser Balon nodded "Aye m'lord, as you wish."

After a few hours the train were travelling south towards Harrenhal and they were riding as hard as they could. Lord Jonos could not afford to be away from his keep for too long.
