DIY Bluetooth Module

Has anyone build there own bluetooth module? I would like to go with the 30pin
I got Airpods Pro Max with usb-c and they didnt work with a usb-c to 3.5mm aux with the ipod. So the next thing is getting my Ipod to play via bluetooth. I really like Kokkis Design but 100€???
