I'm just trying to find something that isn't a piece of shit that isn't a studio so I can finally have my bedroom and my living room separate, but everyone is charging outrageous prices for their apartments and I don't have that kind of money. News flash, students, other people want to live in this town too.
I thought about getting a roommate but everyone I know already has a lease. And I don't want to live in a house with 4-5 college students. I'm 24. I'm this close to just giving up and moving back in with my parents because finding an affordable apartment is impossible in this overpriced town, especially with no one paying a living wage.
Anyone else having this issue? My lease expires in Dec and I've been having a hell of a time getting any property managers to even consider me because they lose out on profits if I don't move in until November or December but will gladly take my application money and THEN tell me that. I'm at the end of my rope. Any suggestions?
Try driving around and checking out apartments above businesses. They’re usually not advertised in IC but there are a ton. They’re usually a good price and larger.

Just start driving around and take notes what business has an apartment over it. This is really not an online activity you have to go out and look.
