And while we celebrate an unforgettable Hawkeye season, we can also acknowledge:
1) LSU was on fire shooting the first half. A player who hadn't scored most of the tournament had the half of her life. It was just the Tigers' day. That happens. They were the better team on Sunday.
2) Officiating really impacted the game. It wasn't the championship game players or fans deserved. And it's unfortunate that after such an exciting season and tournament celebrating the growth of women's basketball, so many people were talking about poor officiating not meeting the moment, rather than being able to revel in an awesome championship game and focus on the players.
