My experience of the process to get the free charger promotion from Hyundai. I got the email for the promotion 3-4 days after I signed my lease. Sign up for an account with Hyundai home marketplace, follow the instructions on it (put $1, take pics etc). It will do initial quote you ranging $1200-2000 extra from your pocket, don't worry you can haggle/fight the price later on. Once they got the installer in your area, the installer will get in touch with you then you explain what are your needs for installation, theyll adjust the price according to your needs.
My suggestion: get an electrician to do all the big things, basically make it as plug n play as possible for the "Hyundai installer" (hardwire only) so you can get the lowest possible of installation fees. Tell them that you already have everything setup, they only need to connect the wires you already have to the charger.
I live in California so it might, should, or or always will be more expensive than other areas because its California. my final quote was 300$ extra out of pocket ($600 off included). So it is POSSIBLE to fight the price.
All of my experiences happened within 3 business days. So it's pretty quick negotiation process.
My decision from this: I didn't get the promotion since I really do have everything setup, the reason why I did this circus is because I can't pass up any free promotions, so it's worth a try for my case.
Hopefully this helps you to get the best bang for the promotion
