I have a Samsung S24, use Amazon Music to stream or play downloaded ultraHD quality music. When playing music in the car Android Auto just sounds horrible. I've double checked that the phone is not trying to play spacial audio. The phone equalizer is set to neutral.
Horrible is a bit of an exageration. But HD radio and Bluetooth absolutely sound better. I hear 3 main issues. Android Auto seems to cut off the low end of bass that bluetooth and HD radio have --- but then most annoyingly what bass it does play is way to loud and "punchy" so that it just sounds bad. A similar thing happens on the high frequencies too - so that any brass or acoustic guitar just sounds a little flat - but this is more difficult to hear. Lastly - something just seems "off" with the imaging or stereo - like its a bit mono sounding.
I've listned to about 10 songs and switched between the sources (would hear a song on the radio, then pull up the same song on android audio - then switch to bluetooth.
Anyone else have this issue?
Is this an ioniq5 issue or an adroid auto issue? Is there some type of update I might be missing?
