Ugh. It’s 12;55 am and I’m woken by severe pain in the 2nd molar that I need a root canal on. We knew about this prior to me starting treatment, because my 2nd molar is broken from the way my wisdom tooth was growing into it but my provider wanted to try to get as far as we could with treatment prior to the need of root canal. Almost made it a full year in treatment before this pain started…. Mg provider said he knew this day was coming, but I still told him I feel like a failure, because I’m going to need another rescan, since my trays won’t fit anymore after the root canal. (I already had one rescan bc a lateral incisor stopped tracking). He told me not to worry, I have a comprehensive plan and with such plans, and extensive cases, it’s not always a straight line between beginning to end. So here I am just blabbering about my tooth pain, numbing my face with ice until the pain lessens enough so I can fall back asleep and call in the am for an appointment !
