I’m onto tray 2…. And I’m here to give you GOOD news. A lot of posts here are scary, frightening and downright almost defeating sounding. Now I’m of course not trying to invalidate anyones feelings, because I understand we all have different experiences, but I’m going to share a little of mine and hope it brings at least one person comfort.
I’m on tray 2 with an immense amount of attachments.
Yes they’re slightly uncomfortable No they’re not unbearable at all To be honest they feel better with the tray in, so the attachments can’t scratch my gums When you’re eating, it just feels like you have food stuck all over your teeth, just floss and brush when you’re done If you have IPR, the gap in between your teeth WILL obviously be larger so be sure to get in there good with your floss ( I personally like interdental flossers better)
Also why I love my water pik!
Pul tool helps so much! And PEEL your trays off! My first tray had no attachments so it kinda just popped off on both sides, with attachments, you have to more so grab the tray and peel slowly away from the attachments so you don’t rip them off. Pul tool can be your BFF, and although I haven’t struggled using my hands that much; the pul tool makes it SO much easier.
Yes the tray is tight but it honestly isn’t unmanageable, by any means. If anything I feel the attachments more & barely even feel the trays itself in my mouth anymore.
So In conclusion, don’t let the scary posts scary you, of course there’s going to be more discomfort stories because people want to know they’re not the only one experiencing the pain/discomfort they have. Heck, maybe I’m too early in the game to say I have no pain, but so far, I have no big complaints rather than it’s just “weird”.
