My wisdom teeth came in after I got my invisalign retainers, and now the bottom set doesn't fit, only because the ends come down and close in at the back, so the back left one bumps against my wisdom tooth. When I wear the set, it mostly fits except the left half is raised because it can't click in all the way. I don't want to wear them that way, because I'm sure that'd move them in ways they shouldn't. I can feel my teeth are shifting now, and I'm a little desperate to prevent that until I can address the problem, so I have some questions:
1: Could I theoretically cut off or file the very back left nib of my bottom retainer, or will is that a dumb idea?
2: Could I only wear the top retainer, or will that lead to a malocclusion?
As of right now, I don't have any wisdom teeth removal plans.
